'Orchids' WIP continued

Here is what my Orchids on Stonehenge looks like now. It is is almost finished. I need to spend some time tweaking the veins in the petals. Once it is completely finished, I shall post a picture of it alongside the version that I did on the Colorfix pastel paper.

Beautiful drawing Teresa. They look so real. You have the patience of a saint to do all those veins!

I have flower fear. I know I CAN draw them, and in the summer we have gazillions of them around, but when it comes to drawing them, I just can't seem to do it.

There are orchids in our house too, perhaps I'll attempt one and see what happens...

Jeanette, orchids in your house...how wonderful! Flower fear from someone who does the impossible?! You draw human beings, therefore you have no fear!

Hey the patience of saint, I rather like that...better than a comment a fellow said to me while viewing my work: "Oh you coloured pencil types, you're such an anal bunch." I'm glad he said it with a smile! Turns out he had taken a coloured pencil workshop and by anal he really meant "IT"S HARD WORK". Oops, if you are one of my students, you didn't just read this... :-) Just kidding.......
