Well hello Teresa, glad you stopped by. Thanks for your kind words and welcome to the Newsletter Group. I will be working on the January issue this week and I hope to have it finished by the weekend. I will let you know as soon as it is ready to read. Thank you for your interest!!
Welcome to my blog! I am an artist and instructor in Ottawa, Canada. Allow me to share with you my enthusiasm for the coloured pencil medium.
My goals are that my art journal will inspire, encourage,
inform and entertain.
I also hope you will find the various coloured pencil resources that I offer informative and helpful. From this blog, you can link to my monthly coloured pencil newsletter, you can read my featured writings on various art topics, you can check out a cp tips section, and you can also view the coloured pencil practice kits that I create.
I love connecting with others who are passionate about art and especially coloured pencil so please feel welcome to leave comments. I look forward to meeting you!
I sincerely hope you enjoy your visit...and remember, add beauty to your life.

Would you like to make this world a better place? If so, I would like to suggest some organizations for you to check out. My husband and I have supported these organizations for many years and I believe they are working hard to change our world for the better. Our concerns range from social justice to wildlife preservation and environmental issues. www.ottawamission.com The Ottawa Mission helps the homeless. Not only do they provide meals, they also help these individuals turn their lives around by providing job training, assistance with ending substance abuse, help finding accomodations etc. No matter what city you live in, there will be an organization like this as unfortunately every city has homeless people. www.worldvision.ca For less than the cost of buying a daily cup of coffee, you can change the life of a child. www.devp.orgThis organization is all about social justice. Issues such as responsible mining, the privatization of water, and environmental and human rights abuses by Canadian companies outside of Canada are all top priorities. A large part of their commitment focuses on empowering women throughout the world - through access to education and assistance in forming co-operatives and other income generating projects. This organization is affiliated with a specific religious denomination. Even if you are not a member of this denomination, I am sure they would love to put your money to use. :-) Having said that, if you are a member of a different faith group and you don't know what sort of social justice work they do, just ask. They will be doing something.
To help wildlife and to protect the enviromment, you might wish to check out the following websites: www.wwf.caWorld Wildlife Fund (a global conservation organization with offices in many countries) www.ecojustice.ca www.cpaws.org Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society www.natureconservancy.ca
Still not sure where to get started? Think of organizations that are doing doing work that you feel is important. Keep in mind that along with financial support, these organizations often need volunteers. Bottom line, a little goes a long way. If you don't feel you have much time or money to spare, please remember that if everyone did something, a lot could get done.
As we give from our income, you can wear a bigger smile if you have ever bought one of my paintings, or taken a course. You helped make a difference. Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to visit and come back soon!
